Our story
Our journey began in the UK in 2006 when my mum, Annette, was diagnosed with melanoma. With a hightened sense of awareness to the sun, she went looking for a solution. She discovered UPF 50 plus clothing and found it made sun protection far easier than relying on constant suncream re-application, especially since she had 3 kids to look after. She started equatorsun soon after, choosing to work with Stingray in Australia for their trusted and highly tested UPF 50 plus designs.
Annette passed away in 2009, and our family has continued her mission ever since. We remain committed to helping families enjoy the outdoors safely while keeping sun protection simple and reliable.
