How to choose women's sun protection clothing
Start with how much skin you want covered, then match the piece to what you will be doing, in the water or out of it.
Coverage A full-body sunsuit covers the most. A short sleeve polo shirt covers less, but you can pair it with UV arm sleeves to cover your arms when the sun is strong and take them off when it isn't.
Sizes Sizes run from S to 2XL in most women's styles and from S to 7XL in swim shirts.

What should I look for in women's sun protection swimwear?
Look for a certified UPF 50+ rating first, then coverage and fabric. UPF is the rating for fabric, as SPF is for sun cream, so anything sold as SPF swimwear should still state its UPF rating.
The more skin a piece covers, the more UV protection it gives, so long sleeves and longer legs protect more than a standard swimsuit. If you swim in a pool regularly, choose a chlorine-resistant fabric that dries quickly. All equatorsun women's swimwear is certified UPF 50+, chlorine-resistant and quick-drying.
What fabrics does equatorsun use?
Our fabrics range from all-natural cotton and linen blends to high-performance polyester and PBT blends. The natural blends are breathable and comfortable in the heat. The polyester and PBT blends are chlorine-resistant, soft, lightweight and quick to dry, which suits swimming and sport. Every fabric is tested and rated UPF 50+.
Will sun protection clothing keep me cool in hot weather?
Yes, lightweight UPF 50+ clothing keeps direct sun off your skin, which many women find cooler than going uncovered. The cotton and linen blends are breathable in the heat. The swim fabrics are light and dry quickly, so you can cool off in the water and keep them on afterwards.
How do I choose the right size in equatorsun women's sun protective clothing?
Check the size guide on the product page, because sizing varies between styles and brands. A Stingray polo shirt, for example, is sized slightly differently from a Stingray swim shirt. If you are between sizes, take the larger. Most women's styles come in sizes S to 2XL, and swim shirts come in plus sizes up to 7XL.
