Common questions about women's UV jackets

Do UV jackets keep you cool?

Yes, in strong sun a thin UV jacket feels cooler than bare skin, because it stops the sun heating your skin directly. The swim jackets are made from light, breathable fabric that dries quickly, and the vented jacket has mesh panels under the arms to let heat out, with a full zip you can open for more air. None of them are insulated, so they are not for warmth.

Can you swim in a UV jacket?

Yes. Some of our long sleeve and short sleeve jackets are made from chlorine-resistant swim fabric, so they go in the pool and the sea like a rash vest and dry quickly afterwards. The zip makes them easier to get off when wet. The vented jacket is water resistant and made for golf, sailing and walking rather than swimming.
