Does men's UV swimwear come in larger sizes?

Yes. The men's swim shirts run from S to 7XL, the swim shorts up to 4XL, and sunsuits and leggings from S to 2XL. The swim fabric stretches and recovers, so it fits closely without feeling tight. Check the size guide on the product page, because sizing varies between styles and brands, and take the larger size if you are between two.

Is men's UV swimwear only for swimming?

No, all of our men’s UV swimwear is made to be worn on dry land as well as in the water. The fabric is thin and light and dries in minutes, so a swim shirt or sunsuit can go straight from the sea to the beach, the boat or the walk back without getting changed. The swim leggings and shorts double up as kit for running, cycling and the gym.

Do I need sun cream under UV swimwear?

Not on the skin it covers. UPF 50+ fabric blocks at least 98% of UV rays wherever it sits, and unlike sun cream it doesn’t wash off, sweat off or need topping up every couple of hours. You will still need sun cream on your face, hands, feet and any other skin left bare. If you would rather use less of it, pick a piece that covers more, such as a long sleeve swim shirt or a sunsuit.

Is UV swimwear chlorine and saltwater resistant?

Yes, equatorsun swimwear uses specially designed fabric that is chlorine and saltwater resistant, so regular pool sessions and days in the sea will not fade the colour, loosen the fit or weaken the UV protection, which is woven into the fabric rather than applied as a coating. Give it a rinse in cold water after the pool or the sea and hang it to dry out of direct sun, and it will last for years.

Which men's swimwear is best for surfing and paddleboarding?
