Front–crotch–back is the measurement that matters most. It decides whether a one-piece suit fits your body length. If it puts you in a larger size than your chest or waist do, take the larger size.
How to measure
- Chest. Around the fullest part of your chest, level with your armholes, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your middle, just above the belly button.
- Front–crotch–back. Start at the centre front of your neckline, run the tape straight down your body, between your legs, and up to the centre back of your neckline.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight, and breathe normally.
No tape measure? Use a piece of string, mark where it meets, then measure the string against a ruler.
Sun protection that stays put
Certified UPF 50+ to the Australian standard AS/NZS 4399:1996, so less than 1 in 50 UV rays reach the skin. Suncream sweats off and washes away in the pool. This protection is woven into the fibres and the weave rather than a chemical finish, so it stays.
Shoulders to thighs, forearms free
Short sleeves cover the shoulders and upper arms and the legs stop just above the knee. Your torso, back and thighs are under certified fabric, and your forearms and knees are free for swimming and kicking.
From pool training to a day at the beach
Thin, flexible fabric that fits close like a swimsuit, light enough for lengths in the pool or a surf and comfortable on the sand afterwards.
It resists chlorine and saltwater without losing its shape or colour, keeps its full UPF 50+ rating when wet and dries quickly.

Sized by chest and front-crotch-back length: run the tape from the centre front of your neckline, down between the legs and up to the centre back. For a one-piece that length matters most, so if it puts you a size above your chest, take the larger size.
Length matters most. If chest and length differ, take the larger.

What customers ask us
Does it have a zip?
Yes. It is a men's short sleeve swimsuit with zip: a full front zip runs from below the waist to the high collar, so it is easy to step into and take off.
What is it made of?
The men's Stingray short sleeve sunsuit uses Italian fabric, a blend of 53% polyester and 47% PBT. It is thin and light, unlined, and certified UPF 50+ to AS/NZS 4399:1996.
Which size should I take, by chest or by front to back length?
Both, but front-crotch-back length decides the fit of a one-piece. Measure from the centre front of your neckline, between your legs, to the centre back. If it gives a bigger size than your chest, take the bigger size.
Can I wear it for surfing and pool training?
Yes. As a men's UPF 50+ short sleeve swimsuit it is made for the water: the fabric resists chlorine and saltwater and holds its shape through regular pool sessions. It keeps its full UPF 50+ rating when wet and dries quickly, and with your forearms and knees free it suits swimming lengths and paddling out.
Do I still need suncream?
Not on covered skin. Use it on your face, ears, neck above the collar, forearms, hands, lower legs and feet, and reapply after swimming.
Will the UV protection wash out?
No. It is woven into the fibre and the weave rather than a chemical finish, so there is nothing to wash out or wear off. Rinse in clean water after swimming, wash cold on a gentle cycle and dry in the shade.
Is it suitable for skin cancer patients or a medical condition?
Yes. Certified UPF 50+ cover is often recommended after skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma, and for autoimmune conditions such as lupus, scleroderma and dermatomyositis, photosensitivity conditions such as actinic keratosis and vitiligo, genetic conditions such as EPP, ichthyoses and Bloom syndrome, and during chemotherapy, radiotherapy or immunosuppressive treatment. We cannot give medical advice, so follow your dermatologist or consultant on how much cover you need.
