Description
Stingray men's UV swim leggings that run from the waist right down to the ankle, with two logo graphics. The polyester and PBT fabric is certified UPF 50+ to the Australian standard AS/NZS 4399:1996 and blocks at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays. The protection is woven into the fibre and weave rather than a chemical finish, so it won't wash off or fade.
The waist is elasticated and has a drawstring too, and there is a small inside pocket at the waistband. The Italian fabric is cooling, breathable and lightweight. It resists chlorine and saltwater and dries fast, so these sun tights suit swimming, surfing and other water sports, and they cover the legs on a hike or a beach day. In black, size S.

How to measure
- Waist. Wrap a soft tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above the belly button.
- Hip. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips, with your feet together.
- Keep the tape level all the way round, including across your back.
- Hold it snug but not tight, and breathe normally.
- Read the measurement where the tape meets.
No tape measure? Use a piece of string, mark where it meets, then measure the string against a ruler.
Sun tights with the protection in the fabric

Will these leggings stay in place in the water?
Yes. The waist is elasticated and has a drawstring as well, so you can pull it in and they stay put while you swim or surf.
Which size should I order?
They are listed in size S, which fits a 64 to 69 cm waist and an 86 to 91 cm hip. Go by your hip measurement; they come up true to size.
Can I surf in them?
Yes. They are quick dry leggings for water sports, made for swimming, surfing and time in the sea, and the elastic and drawstring waist keeps them in place.
Will chlorine and salt water wear them out?
The fabric resists both. Rinse them in clean water after swimming, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and dry them in the shade. The UPF 50+ protection is part of the fabric, so it won't wash off or fade.
Do they dry quickly after swimming?
Yes. The lightweight fabric dries fast, and it keeps its full UPF 50+ rating while it is still wet.
Do I still need suncream?
Not on your legs. Use it on your face, ears, neck, chest, back, arms, hands and feet, and reapply after swimming.
Is it suitable for skin cancer patients or a medical condition?
Yes. Certified UPF 50+ cover is often recommended after skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma, and for autoimmune conditions such as lupus, scleroderma and dermatomyositis, photosensitivity conditions such as actinic keratosis and vitiligo, genetic conditions such as EPP, ichthyoses and Bloom syndrome, and during chemotherapy, radiotherapy or immunosuppressive treatment. We cannot give medical advice, so follow your dermatologist or consultant on how much cover you need.
