“UPF clothing is an essential part of any sun protection strategy. It offers consistent coverage and long-term UV defence, especially for those at higher risk of skin cancer. equatorsun helps make that protection both effective and practical.”

Common questions about the outlet

Are outlet items still UPF 50+?

Yes. Outlet pieces are the same garments, in the same certified UPF 50+ fabric, as the full-price range. The protection is in the weave of the fabric, tested to the AS/NZS 4399 or EN 13758 standard, so a reduced colour or an end-of-line size blocks at least 98% of UV rays exactly as the current stock does.

Why are these items reduced?

Because they are the last of a colour, a print or a size, or a style we are replacing with a new version. Nothing in the outlet is seconds or damaged stock. When a colourway sells down to a few sizes we move it here so the remaining pieces find a home rather than sitting in the warehouse.

Can I return outlet items?

Yes. Outlet orders have the same 14-day returns as everything else on the site, so if the fit is not right you can send it back or exchange it. See the returns page in the footer for how.

Will an outlet item come back in stock?

Usually not in that colour: outlet pieces are the last of a line. The style itself normally continues in the full-price range, so if you miss a size, look for the same piece in the current colours in the women's, men's, kids' or baby and toddler ranges.

Why choose equatorsun?

Every equatorsun piece is tested to the AS/NZS 4399 or EN 13758 standard and certified UPF 50+, which means the fabric blocks at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays from reaching the skin it covers, and the protection is in the weave, so it cannot wash out or wear off. Leading UK consultant dermatologist Dr Dev Shah recommends the equatorsun range. We're a UK family business and have specialised in sun protective clothing since 2006. Customers rate us 4.7 out of 5 across more than 12,500 reviews.
